Phone permission settings

Choose your phone manufacturer. A tile scrolls this same page to the relevant section. Menu names can change between Android and manufacturer releases; use Settings search if a label differs.

Android

First check the standard Android permissions

✓

Precise location

Settings → Apps → Gate Auto Open → Permissions → Location. Allow location and enable precise location.

✓

Background location

For automatic operation while the app is not on screen, choose “Allow all the time” when Android offers it in the app’s location settings.

✓

Nearby devices

Needed when you use car Bluetooth. Allow Gate Auto Open to access Nearby devices.

✓

Phone

Needed only when the gate is opened by a GSM phone call.

✓

Notifications

Allow notifications so you can see background status and important messages.

✓

Physical activity

If requested, allow it — it helps detect driving and reduce unnecessary GPS use.

✓

Unused app

In App info, turn off “Pause app activity if unused” so Android does not later revoke permissions and stop background operation.
